MONTANARO GALLERY

GEORGE VRANESH

ARTIST STATEMENT

Montanaro Gallery is delighted to offer the wonderful works of George Vranesh. Since his early studies at the Art Students League, studying painting under his good friend Will Barnet and printmaking under Arnold Singer, George has not ceased in his
passion to create a variety of thought provoking and insightful works.

Featured here are three different series of works all dedicated to
George Vranesh which span some 50 years. Some have called George's works
Modern, Contemporary, Abstract, Indian Space, or Geometric.
George would say that he is a third generation Modernist.

George began showing his works at the 10/4 Group Gallery in NY in the
early 1960s with his Alaskan Horizons shows. His works have been featured in numerous shows since then including a large exhibit at the Newport Art Museum. From his early figurative works on to his recent landscapes, it is safe to say that George has developed and maintained his own personal style of creation.

Montanaro Gallery is pleased to be working with Hollis Taggart Galleries, NY; Borghi Fine Arts, NJ; and Gary Snyder/Project Space, NY in order to get Vranesh's works to a larger audience.
