Meet the Artists at the Reception on Saturday, May 31st from 6-9pm

Montanaro Gallery of Newport, Rhode Island is pleased to present our latest exhibition, '3 Amigos', featuring all new art by three California artists/surfers Andy Davis, Jeff Canham, and Tyler Warren with an Artist Reception on Saturday, May 31st 6-9pm in our new gallery location at 18 Franklin Street in Newport.

'3 Amigos' will include all new acrylic paintings, watercolors, pen and ink drawings, and prints by clothing designer and artist Andy Davis. Ando's newest body of work is an expansion of his whimsical and loose style characterized by his unique perspectives and bold simplistic lines. Surfing, women, dreamy waves, love, and the natural elements can all be found in his works. Regarded by good friend and accomplished artist Thomas Campbell as today's greatest surf artist, Andy's works are sure to capture the hearts and imaginations of all who view them at Montanaro Gallery.

Former Surfer Magazine Art Director and New Bohemia sign painter, Jeff Canham, will be represented with all new hand painted wood installations. Canham, currently living in San Francisco, has become well known for his collage works featuring symbols of wind, water, waves and words. Like the signs he paints his works are tightly designed and strategically hung, the difference here being that each artwork can include as many as three dozen small wooden pieces.

Tyler Warren, originally hailing from Dana Point, CA, will show a wide variety of works in his intricate style, which is reminiscent of psychedelic rock posters meet art nouveau. Tyler will have new pen an ink drawings, lithographs, as well as mixed media works. Tyler, a very talented surfer, has been featured in numerous surf movies, including most recently 'One California Day'.

All three artists featured in the '3 Amigos' show will be wrapping up their East Coast Tour promoting Andy's clothing line, Ando and Friends, with an art show celebration at Montanaro Gallery. Andy, Jeff, Tyler and a host of other friends, celebrities, and gallery affectionatos will be in attendance for the opening party.
